Many of the problems ( like foot/ankle pain, knee and hip pain or backache etc.) are associated with foot mechanics. We always do a full assessment, check your posture before we prescribe orthotics, not just your gait.

Due to poor biomechanics, the involved joints/muscles/nerves undergo forces they are not familiar with, causing irritation and aggravation of the area and PAIN. It can be easily fixed with orthotics in many cases.
However it is important the orthotics which you buy are suitable for YOUR FEET. This is because your feet are as individual as you. They deserve the level of individual care that TOGS orthotics can offer.

At Beaumont Physiotherapy we use GaitScan diagnostic system

As you walk across the GaitScan™ plate, 4096 sensors are set to scan the plantar surface of the foot in motion. The GaitScan™ system records timing sequences during gait and captures the relative pressure for each of ten distinct anatomical landmarks. The result is the detection of imbalances and other indicators of common lower limb pathologies.

Using the McKenzie approach can help “centralize” the patient’s pain by moving it away from the extremities (leg or arm) to the back. Back […]
Myofascial dry needling
